cool article.. not quite as explicit as the example that put you on my radar - you know the one... i damn near burst a lung reading that!

i only discovered live's outbound link function last week whilst researching an article about working your way down the chain of authority and getting links from sites trusted sites link to. I used to use jim boykin's tool but that's not free anymore. Meh.

keep up the good work, i'm glad i added your feed!

It's too bad that the inbould link request search on Msn doesn't work anymore, it used to be a pretty useful overview....

Linkfordomain is a nice feature they still have!

Nice article, getting links is a pretty damn hard job to do. But you just made my life a little easier.

As white as can be and sometimes I do it that way. Depending on how I got the link people will continue to check where they are linking to. In that case cloaking is a good alternative.

Although I'm quite proud of some of my cloaked linkbaits it wouldn't be smart to disclose them here.

Why not let the authority site link to your intermediate site for a while, and then 301 the intermediate page to your own page. That way you can transfer the linklove. I wouldn't call this cloaking, as you first let the link age for a while and then redirect. Seems whitehat to me :-)
